- <p> DIED. WILLIAM CONRAD, 73, large, booming-voiced actor; of a
- heart attack; in North Hollywood, California. Star of the 1970s
- TV detective series Cannon, Conrad later played the tough district
- attorney in cbs's Jake and the Fatman. He was the original Marshal
- Matt Dillon on radio, and provided the resonant narration for
- The Bullwinkle Show. His film credits included East Side, West
- Side and The Naked Jungle.
